Mantra: Yajur Veda 26.14
prajaamcha paripaatunaH
Let our progeny be protected in all respects
Synopsis:
prajaamcha paripaatunaH
paatu = to protect
Root: paa (rakshaNE) = protect
paripaatu = protect in all respects
naH = our
prajaa = progeny
How will our progeny be protected?
We think we can protect the future generation by accumulating wealth and passing it on. No. This is not true. Wealth they can earn themselves too. Only thing that will protect them is knowledge. Teach them the right knowledge.
People are so avaricious that they save money not just one generation but for 4-5 generations. This is easy money for the next generation. This is useless to them. Money earned without hard work will be squandered. They just spend it easily without care for whether the expense is required or not.
Don’t collect / amass wealth for the future generations. But teach them the ways to earn money the right way. They will know the value of money and they will not squander it. Let our future be protected. Let our progeny be protected.
Give them human values
If you don’t give them human values, they will lead a life that will be inhuman even though they will have a human form. It will not match. They will be in trouble. Only if they live life in a human way will their life be peaceful. The right way of thinking, talking and doing things is what will protect them.
Money
If they strive for their own money and work for it, they will know the value of it.
Love them. Do not pamper them.
Pampering will make them irresponsible.
